FC Barcelona La Masia graduate Andreu Fontàs will from next season on be reunited with former Barcelona B coach Luis Enrique at Celta de Vigo. Details after the jump.
A deal was officially announced on the FC Barcelona website just 30 minutes ago.
The transfer value is approximately one million euros due to various monetary clauses related to player performance statistics.
The deal does include a buy-back option as well as a royalty percentage on future transfers.
The 23-year-old Andreu Fontàs, who can play in defence as well as in midfield, was on loan at RCD Mallorca for the second half of the season, where he played a total of 13 matches.
Fontàs had his best seasons at Barcelona B with Luis Enrique, with whom he helped the B team get promoted to the Segunda División (after 11 years).
His performances with the B team earned him a promotion to the first team in 2011.
His time in the first team was never an overwhelming success, also due to injuries.
