BARCELONA PLOT €15M BID FOR LIVERPOOL DEFENDER DANIEL AGGER

Barcelona’s quest to land a centre-back this summer continues on the front page of SPORT on Sunday, as the Catalans are linked, again, to Liverpool’s Daniel Agger.

In the latest updates, Barcelona, having seen efforts to sign Marquinhos from PSG fall by the wayside in recent days, are no reconsidering a move for Liverpool’s Danish defender, whom they believe is available for €15 million.

Whilst Barca have also said to be chasing  Daley Blind, Thomas Vermaelen and Jan Vertonghen, SPORT now believe Agger is “the most affordable”.


Agger is deemed on the periphery of the first team squad at Anfield, with the Merseysiders set to sign Dejan Lovren from Southampton before the new campaign kicks off.
